Founder story
Vaidyashreshtan Sri Panoli Chanthu Vaidyar
In 1950, in Kannur District, Kerala, Vaidyashreshtan Sri Panoli Chanthu Vaidyar founded the institution that would become Ayurgramam Hospital.
His practice was built on authentic Ayurvedic knowledge and a simple conviction: that careful observation of the patient, patient listening and unhurried assessment come before any treatment decision. Families across the district came to him not only for care, but for guidance on daily living.
That commitment to service, dedication, knowledge and compassion became the foundation on which every subsequent generation has built. The centres, systems and programmes that exist today are extensions of the standard he set.
Ayurgramam continues to honour his legacy by preserving classical Ayurvedic practice while adopting the documentation, education and patient-safety standards expected of a modern healthcare institution.
