Founder

Vaidyashreshtan Sri Panoli Chanthu Vaidyar

Vaidyashreshtan Sri Panoli Chanthu Vaidyar founded the practice that became Ayurgramam Hospital in Kannur District, Kerala, in 1950. Trained in the classical Kerala tradition, he was known for unhurried assessment, hand-prepared medicines and guidance that extended into diet, routine and family life.

Vision

That authentic Ayurveda should remain accessible to ordinary families, and that no treatment should begin before the physician has genuinely understood the patient.

Leadership message

“Listen first. The medicine follows the understanding.”

Areas of responsibility

  • Establishing the classical clinical tradition of the institution
  • Training the first generation of family practitioners
  • Community healthcare across Kannur District
  • Preparation standards for classical formulations

Leadership philosophy

How we lead

Ayurgramam is led collaboratively. Clinical decisions rest with qualified professionals, institutional decisions are made transparently, and both are measured against one standard: whether the patient is better served.

Respect for tradition

Classical practice is preserved, documented and taught, not diluted.

Ethical healthcare

No guaranteed cures, no exaggerated claims, informed consent throughout.

Patient-first service

Access, clarity and dignity at every point of contact.

Continuous improvement

Training, audit and feedback built into the operating rhythm.
